Charlie is a career-driven girl from the Midlands who has achieved a great deal for her age. She joined TVP on promotion and was soon plunged into the centre of the action for DCI Moran’s second case, ‘Creatures of Dust’. She showed great bravery and initiative when attacked at home by a would-be assassin and, although still bearing the mental and physical scars from that episode, quickly returned to active duty where she continues to be highly regarded not only by her team but also by the Chief Superintendent, DCS Higginson. Charlie is Higginson’s first choice to cover for DCI Moran during his senior detective’s absences, a task which Charlie relishes and carries out with customary verve and dedication. A single girl, Charlie also has a great sense of fun and a wicked sense of humour.
